Imbi natively exposes Model Context Protocol (MCP) capabilities to browser agents, LLM assistants, and WebMCP extensions over standard JSON-RPC 2.0 and DOM tool registries.

Create an API key at /dashboard/api-keys and send it as Authorization: Bearer imbi_.... The key acts as its owner and only on the owner's own food trucks (admins included). Keys are read-only unless you tick Write access (MCP). Operating a truck through MCP is included from the Pro plan (per truck; Basic trucks are listed but locked); markets are operated with the Market Manager tools and need the Market Manager plan. The tool list adapts to the key: without a key only the public tools are offered.
claude.ai (custom connector, no key needed)
In claude.ai open Settings, Connectors, Add custom connector and enter http://localhost:3000/api/mcp/account. Claude sends you to Imbi to sign in; there you choose between read only and read and change access and approve. You can disconnect the app any time on the API keys page.
Standard OAuth 2.1: discovery at /.well-known/oauth-protected-resource and /.well-known/oauth-authorization-server, dynamic client registration, PKCE (S256) required, access tokens last one hour and rotate with refresh tokens.

Inquiries and reviews contain text from third parties; results carry a notice and clients should ask before acting on it. Keep write access switched off unless you need it. Every change is written to the audit log (mcp.*) and limited to 30 changes per minute per key. Revoke a key at any time on the API keys page.
